IOL Registration
Registration Form for the Introduction to Online Learning Course (IOL)
Important Note: The IOL course will not be accepted as a prerequisite to the
ACE program. If you want to take ACE Distance courses, you will have to
register in the Learn to Learn (L2L) course.
Thank you for your interest in the Introduction to Online Learning course
(IOL). The IOL course was designed to help students become familiar with
participating in online courses. Carefully read the following before
registering for IOL as it contains important information to help students
succeed.
You will need to have your own email address.
It is important to create an address which is appropriate and
professional.
Use at least part of your name in the email address. This helps us to identify
you and makes corresponding with you much more efficient. Do not use someone else's email address.
When creating an academic email address registering as [email protected] or [email protected] is acceptable. Choosing an email address such as [email protected] is not appropriate.
There are many free email providers on the Internet. You can sign up for a free email account at Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo, but there are many others. To find out how to sign up for your email address, search the Internet for the email provider of your choice and follow their instructions.
You have 30 days to complete the IOL course.
Please do not sign up for the course if you know that you will not have
access to a computer and the Internet during this 30 day period. Students, who
do not log on within five days of receiving their log on email, will be removed
and will have to re-register. Students can only register for the IOL course two
times.
If you do not have a computer, there are 111 access sites in communities across
Ontario where you can use computers at no charge. For more information about

or www.elearnnetwork.ca.
Register Online
Please make sure that all the fields have been completed and
that your Internet is reliable otherwise your registration will not be
successful. Remember to hit the register button at the bottom of the page when
you have completed the registration form.

I understand that I only have two opportunities to register in the IOL course.
