ACE Distance Students

ask how to...

Withdraw from an ACE Distance course

You must send an email to your registering college to request an official withdrawal. Send your email to the same college email address (or contact person) that you used to register for your course. You can find your college contact on the “Next Step” email you received from ACE Distance when you registered for your course.

Register for your next ACE Distance course

If you achieve a final grade of at least 70% in your ACE course, you  are normally eligible to register for the next course on your Learner Plan. Send an email to info@cscau.com to request registration in your next course. Remember that free ACE courses normally start on the first business day of January, March, April, June, September, and November.

Get an enrolment confirmation letter

Send a request to info@cscau.com if you need an enrolment letter. We will follow up with you to get more information about your request.

Get your mid-term grade

Send an email to your instructor requesting your mid-term grade. Include your 9-digit Ontario Colleges (OCAS) application number in your email. The instructor will then send your mid-term grade to the ACE Distance Program Director, who will post it to your Ontario Colleges application account. Any Ontario college you have applied to will be able to access your mid-term grade from your OCAS account.

Get your final grade

Your instructor will send you an email when your final grade is available, usually within 5 business days of submitting your last test or assignment. At peak times, it may take longer.

Get an official transcript

Only your registering college can provide an official transcript. To request a transcript, follow the instructions on the “Transcripts” page on your registering college’s website.

Transcripts are normally available from your registering college 3 to 4 weeks after the scheduled end date of your course. Colleges charge a small fee (about $20) when you order your transcript.

Get a ‘Final Grade Confirmation’

A ‘Final Grade Confirmation’ is a form that states your final grade for an individual course. It is not an official transcript. It may be possible for the ACE Distance program to post a ‘Final Grade Confirmation’ to your Ontario Colleges application file while you are waiting for your official transcript. Any college you have applied to would then be able to see the Final Grade Confirmation on your OCAS file.

Contact info@cscau.com to request a Final Grade Confirmation (after your instructor has informed you that your final grade is available). Be sure to include your 9-digit Ontario Colleges application number in your email.
