ACE Grade 12 equivalent courses
If you successfully complete Learn to Learn, you will receive an email with instructions for registering for your first ACE Distance course. This includes registering with your local Ontario public college.
You can take one course at a time. If you want to take more than one course at a time, you can — but fees apply to additional courses.
Free ACE Distance courses start in January, March, April, June, September, and November. You have 20 weeks (5 months) to complete each course.
ACE courses are accepted as grade 12 equivalent for admission to Ontario’s public colleges (certificate and diploma programs), for apprenticeship registration, and by a growing number of employers.

Learn to Learn

Learn to Learn is a required orientation course that you must suc-
cessfully complete before registering for any ACE Distance course.
Learn to Learn will help you:
• determine if you have the personal, computer and academic skills you need to succeed in ACE Distance courses,
• meet your goals by helping you develop your own learning plan,
• select your courses, the order in which you’ll take them, and
• access support.

ACE Distance also offers support or “refresher” courses for learners who are close to meeting the required entry scores for ACE Distance courses and/or would like to refresh their skills before starting an ACE course.
Because ACE courses are grade 12 equivalent level, many people benefit from completing support courses first.
